Hi everyone! I am EJP of EJPcreations. The items I make utilize design elements from a bygone time, to create modern, urban body ornaments. I am a mad scientist of a woman specializing in creating tiaras, necklaces, and fascinators, with a noir, and gothic flair. All adornments have a hint of vampire elegance, a dash of Steampunk bravado, and plenty of Neo-Victorian sensibilities. Here is my little blog to showcase some of my creations, the things that inspire me, as well as a scrapbook of curiosities that I have picked up in my wanderings across the web. ~ Please Enjoy …

Cogs on my Brain

I Just finished up a custom order for one of my favorite clients today. It's a cog hair ornament with an alligator clip in back. Painted three different antique metallic colors (bronze, silver, gold). She has a full head of long blonde dread lock so it's going to look just stunning in her hair. I'll have to remind her to take a picture.

Neo Victorian Wedding

I just finished up a custom order for a lovely woman in Washington, DC. For her wedding she wanted one of my hair combs in antique gold to match her dress. I was more than happy to accommodate her and she was ecstatic with the result, as was I.

Dia De Los Muertos

Ever since I was a little girl I was fascinated by this holiday. The Day of the Dead has some of the most interesting designs and colors associated with it that it's a candy store of ideas for artists. Here is a little inspiration cloud of some of my favorite images of the holiday. Images are from: localovespirate, lightleaks, Jtnee, addiemannan, Pasin, blackbirdfolkart, cartbeforethehorse, mariposafuerte, Dellamorteco, fuish, misslilylocket, elwinwood

Elegant Machinery

I am so excited that I finally finished this http://www.blogger.com/img/blank.gifhair comb. I know it looks simple, but you have no idea how much I stress about just the exact angle the cogs should lay. It's kind of ridiculous actually, and I'm really glad no one is in my studio watching me do it. In any case I will be doing a little celebratory dance for a little while EEeeeeEEEEEEE!

Lucy Lambert

Here are the pictures from the photo shoot I was telling you about. I was working with the British fashion designer Lucy Lambert for some hair accessories to accent her fashions in her upcomming show and photo shoots. The collection is called "A New Skin" by Lucy Lambert. And I just love how they turned out!

Lucy Lambert

A couple of months ago British fashion designer Lucy Lambert contacted me to come up with a few designs for her new runway show. She wanted at least 3 avant garde hair ornaments to complement her designs. She described them as reptilian scales meet stain glass church windows. So after much back and forth we agreed on the looks I've posted here. My favorite is the first picture. The front piece is a modified Indian tikka. Something I've been wanting to make for a long time. The crown was probably the most challenging to make. She was thrilled when she received them, and said they went perfectly with the collection.
