Hi everyone! I am EJP of EJPcreations. The items I make utilize design elements from a bygone time, to create modern, urban body ornaments. I am a mad scientist of a woman specializing in creating tiaras, necklaces, and fascinators, with a noir, and gothic flair. All adornments have a hint of vampire elegance, a dash of Steampunk bravado, and plenty of Neo-Victorian sensibilities. Here is my little blog to showcase some of my creations, the things that inspire me, as well as a scrapbook of curiosities that I have picked up in my wanderings across the web. ~ Please Enjoy …

My Little Crow Painting

Summer is usually the worst time creatively for me. Right around the first of July, I enter into a funk that I just can’t shake until the first fall breezes tickle my face. But for some reason ideas just keep popping into my head. Along with that is an equally powerful drive to actually make those things. Usually the two never connect. Things that I have been meaning to make for years are suddenly manifesting on my workbench. It’s making me so happy. This little crow painting is the first of many projects that have been stewing in my brain for sometime. So happy to see one has popped out of my head into reality. A southern gothic design thing came over me an forced me to make it. No really I'm serious my creativity wouldn't let me work on anything else till it was done. Now that it is finished I'm very happy with the result.

  1. Beautiful! The painting on its own is incredible - I love the detailing of his tail feathers and toes. But the embellished frame just suits it so perfectly. This is really inspired!

  2. Thank you both so much. It was so much fun bringing this dapper little gentleman bird to life. I have to admit though the frame was one of my favorite parts of the whole project. I'm so happy with how it came together.
